For sixty years, the Chapter Athena Daughters of Penelope of AHEPA has been providing charity to the wider Greek Australian community. Their work will be celebrated on Sunday night in an anniversary dance held at the Stonnington Reception, Prahran Town Hall.

The chapter, which is the female branch of AHEPA was established on May 17, 1954, by 18 women who wanted to make a difference. Three of the founding members are still active in the Chapter Athena Daughters of Penelope of AHEPA; two of them were only 16 when they followed in their mothers’ footsteps in 1954.

The 60th anniversary will reflect on the organisations devotion to raising money for the Red Cross; World Vision; the Royal Children’s Hospital; the Royal Australian INstitute for the Blind; cancer research and many others.

The event will be proudly sponsored by Delphi Bank.
