On the occasion of the commemoration of the Battle of Crete and Mainland Greece, which coincides with the anniversary of the Genocide of the Hellenism of Pontos, the community of Western Australia will hold a Memorial Service at the Greek Orthodox Parish of St Nektarios on Saturday 7 June at 10.30 am.
The service will be followed by a Wreath Laying Ceremony at the State War Memorial in King’s Park at 12.30 pm.
The Ambassador of Greece to Australia HE Mr Haris Dafaranos will be honouring commemorative events with his presence.
