It was announced that the Greek Orthodox Community of Oakleigh and Districts will receive a funding boost of $100,000 if the Napthine government is re-elected in the impending elections.

Announced by the state member for the Southern Metropolitan Region, Georgie Crozier, and Liberal candidate for Oakleigh Theo Zographos, the money will assist the parish in upgrading their church hall, used by thousands of parishioners.

“The Napthine government has a proud record of fighting for the Greek community and will continue to do so,” said Ms Crozier.

The funding will be an addition to the recently announced $200,000 upgrade for the community’s main hall.
