Liverpool FC have confirmed they will be taking on Brisbane Roar and Adelaide United in pre-season matches in July.
The five-time European Champions say their visit this year is thanks to the overwhelming welcome they had two years ago when they took on Melbourne Victory.
“We visited Australia for the first time two years ago and the support we received from our Australian fans was incredible,” Ian Ayre, Liverpool FC Chief Executive Officer, said.
“Liverpool FC has over 600,000 supporters in Australia and we look forward to meeting as many of them as possible while we are in the country.”
Liverpool FC, who were runners-up in last year’s EPL and are currently seventh on the ladder, boast a squad of superstars including England internationals Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling, Slovakian defender Martin Skrtel, Ivorian Kolo Toure and Australian goalkeeper Brad Jones.
The Reds will first play the Roar on July 17, before facing Adelaide United in Adelaide on July 20.
Liverpool FC last toured Australia in 2013 when they beat Melbourne Victory 2-0 in front of more than 95,000 fans at the MCG.
