Over the weekend thousands took part in the Murray to Moyne bike ride, with their sights set on raising funds for the charity Life for a Child.
A worthwhile cause, the organisation provides medical support for up to 15,000 children suffering from juvenile diabetes and in danger of losing their lives across 48 countries in the developing world.
Among the cyclists was Greek Australian businesswoman Vicky Papachristou, who took part in the ride as part of the team ‘Luna Riders’.
Having lost her father to pancreatic cancer 16 years ago, the ride is an important challenge to undertake.
The team was divided into two groups of seven, with each group travelling rotation distances of 30 km – totalling an impressive 520 km over a 24-hour period.
