The Australian Archaeological Institute of Athens will be conducting an exciting and exclusive tour of Greece.
Taking place over 16 days, the expedition’s itinerary is perfectly designed to highlight the research and fieldwork undertaken by Australian archaeologists in Greece from the 1960s at the site of Zagora on Andros.
This is a unique opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about the institute and its work.
The tour group will be led exclusively by Australian archaeologists and Beyond Tour leaders, Helen Nicholson and Dr Archondia Thanos.
Participants will meet with Australians working at Zagora and hear all about their research, along with spending time off the tourist trail on the Sithonia Peninsula and visiting the seaside village of Torone, where Australian archaeologists have worked for almost 30 years.
To experience all this, and to enjoy an evening drink with members of Athens Friends of the Institute, all the while tasting the best of local cuisine and visiting notable Greek wineries, book yourself a place.
Cost (land only): AU$7,450 (including domestic flights in Greece). Single supplement: AU$1,250.
