The much anticipated set of conclusions by the team of experts on the social security system, deliveredon Thursday to Labor Minister Giorgos Katrougalos, contained no figures and left the government to decide on all the tough issues, such as pension cuts, new taxes, the adjustment of contributions and income criteria for pension levels.
Although the ministerial decision determining the task of the so-called Committee of Wise Men dictated the drafting of an actuarial report and a law proposal regarding social security reform, the document submitted yesterday contained nothing of the sort, citing lack of time and the need for more processing.
