Adam Gotsis is the name on everyone’s lips, after being drafted to join NFL’s Denver Broncos.

The 23-year old Melbourne player, who suffered a knee injury late last year, was picked up by the reigning Super Bowl champions on the last second-round pick.

In an interview with US media, the player expressed his enthusiasm and said he was more than ready to be part of the culture at the Broncos.

“It’s a memorable moment. Never going to forget it,” he said.
“I’m just ready to get in there and start learning.”

The young player’s love affair with football started at the age of six, when he started playing Aussie Rules, but it was in his teens that he turned his attention to the American variety, which saw him go on to receive a scholarship to play for Georgia Tech.

Joining Gotsis in the draft line-up were fellow Australians Lachlan Edwards and Tom Hackett, who were picked up by the New York Jets.
