Following on from their popular shows in Perth and Melbourne, the Tsahouridis brothers are set to take their fans in Adelaide and Sydney on an unforgettable musical journey with their show Body and Soul.
Responsible for elevating the sounds of the Pontic Lyra onto the world stage, the pair have since enthralled audiences across Europe, Canada and most recently LA, and now Australia with the accompaniment of a six-piece orchestra.
Mathaios, considered to be the world’s finest exponent of the lyra, and Konstantinos, a renowned tenor, make for a unique duo as they fuse together their musical inspirations ranging from world music, opera, soundtracks and Greek music, resulting in the union of both eastern and western musical traditions.
Born in Veria, the musically gifted brothers are at home on stage, having performed since the age of nine and completing their first recording at 14. It was winning the Pan-Hellenic Prize of Traditional Music that would cement their future in the music industry, seeing them awarded a scholarship by the Holy Bishopric of Veria to study at the prestigious Goldsmiths College at the University of London.
They have since performed across the globe, working with the likes of Sir John Tavener, Cat Stevens and composer Mimis Plessas.
Attendees will also be helping those in need, with all proceeds from the tour being donated to The Hellenic Initiative Australia and distributed to charities providing crisis relief to people across Greece.
