It’s no secret that Australia has a problem with gambling. According to figures released by the Australian government, up to 500,000 Australians are at risk of becoming, or are already, problem gamblers.

To help address the issue within the Greek community, Pronia will be hosting an information session on poker machines and their impact in collaboration with CANVAS Monash and the Monash City Council.

The workshop will address the main worries and concerns for those who know someone affected by their pokies use, also looking at what can be done to improve the situation and the type of support needed and services offered in the Monash area.

Taking place on Wednesday 14 December, this will be Pronia’s final Family & Relationships workshop for the year and will be conducted in English, with a Greek interpreter available if needed.

The program will take place at Clayton Community Centre, 8-15 Cooke Street, Clayton, VIC from 10.30 am – 12.30 pm. RSVP essential. Call Adonis Maglis on (03) 9388 9998.
