Athens residents were startled to see five military jets flying just above their heads on Tuesday. The low flybys were part of Iniohos (“charioteer’), a joint military exercise with the participation of Greece, Italy and Israel. The five jets (one Greek F-16 Block 50, one Israeli F-16 Block 30, one Italian AMX and one Greek F-4E) flew over the Acropolis, offering a rare image. Then they headed to the Euripus Strait and the Rio-Antirio bridge before returning to their base.
