For nearly two decades, Tony Miaoudis has been the Greek voice in Darwin. An esteemed member of the local Greek community, he has presented a weekly program of news from Greece and the Greek community on a local Aboriginal community station Radio Larrakia (95.4FM) since 1998 to an audience of more than 55,000 listeners in Australia and abroad.

Now the ‘good territorian’, as many in the community characterise him, is about to make his dream come true. Within the next few months he is going to build a Greek radio studio in Darwin, to train the next generation of broadcasters – Greek or not, young or old.

A new studio is under construction to help bring the voice of Greek media to a greater section of the public. The project has the full support of the Greek community and the NT Government.
