Thanassis Kokkinakis showed his class as he managed to win the final of the ATP Challenger trophy tour against Slovenian Blaz Rola 6-4, 6-4. Kokkinakis won the trophy in style as he managed to do so without conceding a single set to his opponents in any of his games leading to the final, being up against athletes who were classed higher that him in the worldwide rankings such as Norwegian Casper Ruud and Lloyd Harris.

This victory will see Kokkinakis’ own position in the ranking go up to number 154, a quite impressive jump as he was previously positioned at 195. Kokkinakis has impressed with his performances in 2018 as earlier this year he managed to claim a win against Roger Federer, however a knee injury didn’t allow him to maintain his form.
