Last night the Panmacedonian Association Melbourne Victoria (PAMV) participated in a protest outside the Malvern Town Hall against the visit by Greek politicians (Greek Foreign Affairs Minister Terens) Quick and Parliamentary Deputy George Varemenos at the Greek National Day celebratory event. It has come to our attention that after the PMAV representatives left the protest, there were some incidents that occurred between protesters and some of the invited guests.
We wish to advise that the PAMV does not condone any violence in any fashion at protests and wishes to be made known that the accused protesters were not members of the PAMV but were individual protesters who chose to take this course.
The PAMV is a formal official organisation recognised by both the state and federal governments and does not and will never support violent means to be heard.
Andrew Ballis
President of the PAMV
