Our thoughts and prayers are with the Greek Orthodox community, following the sad news of the passing of His Eminence Archbishop Stylianos.
His Eminence served as Archbishop since 1975, and made an extraordinary contribution to the Greek Orthodox community in Australia.
His Eminence loved the beauty of poetry, but he lived and served according to the humble practicalities of helping others, working tirelessly to help children with special needs and the elderly.
He founded the first Greek Orthodox Seminary in the Southern Hemisphere, with the establishment of St Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Theological College in Sydney.
