1. ATH Airport
This is the official Athens airport app where you can check flight status, arrivals and departures, but also for getting up to date information on how to get to the airport, nearby parking as well as special on-flight and duty-free offers. There is also a weather report section with up-to-date information. The app available on Apple, Android and Windows for free in both Greek and English.

2. Aegean Airlines
If you are a fan of Aegean Airlines, the app offers quick check-in, updates, and flight-related information as well as offers for its users. It can be helpful for last-minute changes and in emergency situations as well as for connecting you with accommodation and transport options to and from the airport.

3. Taxibeat application
Uber never really took off in Greece due to the hardcore resistance from the taxi industry. If you are no fan of hailing a random taxi on the street Taxibeat has your back. The app finds the passenger’s location using GPS, and allows them to call any of the nearby drivers based not only on their location but also on their rating from other passengers. Taxibeat also uses criteria such as whether they speak languages other than Greek, if the driver is a smoker and of course the type and size of the vehicle. Passengers can pay via PayPal, card or cash. Taxibeat cabs can also be hailed like regular rides but have stickers on the side of the car showing they are affiliated with the app. Taxibeat is available on Android & iOS for free.

4. OASA Telematics
This app is powered by the ministry of transport and helps commuters stay on top of Athens’ hectic bus system. OASA Telematics uses GPS to pinpoint the location of the user showing nearby bus stops, their schedule and their route with an estimated arrival time. Again, the app is downloadable via Apple, Android & Windows without charge.

5. Virtual Tourist Guide
Dubbed the most complete tourist guide for Greece, Virtual Tourist Guide is free and helps you explore the most popular sites throughout Greece and it alerts you when a sight is in close proximity while providing detailed information. The app covers sites in various cities all over Greece, also providing information the likes of hotels, transport options, airports, sea ports with photos and live maps. One of the best features of the app is the auto-speak that enables the virtual guide assistant to automatically read out the descriptions of all nearby points of interest.

6. Greek Museums
This app is a mobile list of over 400 museums across Greece showing options at a radius of 50km, along with information such as opening hours, address, email, contact details, website and map with directions. It can even display all available museums in relation to your current position. It provides an Augmented Reality Camera View, map view and list view. Available on Android & iOS for free!

7. Greek Language Guide & Audio From World Nomads
This application provides you with an audio feature and some essential phrases in Greek with phonetic spelling that can help travellers easily pronounce Greek words.

8. e-food
The efood app is Greece’s favorite choice for online meal delivery and takeaway with more than 6,500 stores in 60 cities in Greece. There is a large variety of establishments offering everything from sweets, souvlaki, burgers, crepes, gyros, pasta, soup, or even pizza! All one has to do is confirm your address, find the food you want, and order. It’s kind of like Uber Eats but with more listings!

9. e-table
This is an app that helps users navigate through over 1500 restaurants seeing menus, photos and detailed descriptions. Members can also read verified reviews and book online with exclusive benefits. The review also offer discounts up to 50 per cent as well as 10€ or 25€ gift cards, the more bookings and reviews one accumulates. The app is completely free of cost to join while bookings are instantly confirmed. There are no coupons; the discount will be applied to the total amount of your final bill.
