Titika Nikiforaki, died at the age of 105 years, on Saturday, 19 October.
The actress first appeared on stage with the Greek National Theater in 1935, aged just 21 years.
She was known for poet Giannis Ritsos’ Eikones and performance in Henrik Ibsen’s “Peer Gynt”.
She and her husband, Nikos Hadjiscos had founded the ‘Cava’ theatre and were pioneers in their sector.

Greek Culture and Sports Minister Lina Mendoni said that Nikoforaki was a grade dame of Greek theatre, who even at the age of 100 continued to be a restless and creative spirit and the “beloved teacher of hundreds of students of the National Theatre.”
“Her contribution to Greek theatre is invaluable,” she said. “I extend my warmest condolences to her relatives and friends.”
