The Greek Coast Guard reported that the three surfers who went missing off a beach near Marathon, north of Athens on Thursday have been found.
The three surfers, who have not yet been identified, were reported to have gone missing off Schinia Beach which is part of the Schinias National Park near Marathon.

The three men had been surfing with strong west/north westerlywinds of about 40 to 50km/h when they were reported missing. It is suspected that the conditions had blown them out to sea.
A Coast guard vessel, a private vessel and Greek navy Super Puma helicopter were involved in the search for the three missing surfers.
However, a coast guard spokesman said the surfers made it safely back to shore on their own later in the day and the search was called off.
