Turkish governor in the city of Edirne accused Greece of opening fire at migrants trying to cross the border. He said that one migrant was killed and five wounded.

In Athens, Greek Government Spokesman Stelios Petsas dismissed the report.

“The Turkish side creates and disperses fake news targeted against Greece. Today they fabricated yet another such falsehood, with injured people supposedly struck by Greek fire. I categorically deny this,” he said.

“Fake news keeps spreading, and while they were talking about injuries before, now they are talking about one dead. I reiterate once more my previous denial: there is no such incident with fire from the Greek authorities.”
