The Greek deputy Minister of Tourism, Manos Konsolas, expects tourism to restart in 2021 and work was underway to set up a safe-entry protocol to be in place when tourists begin to arrive again in Greece.
Speaking on Sunday night onan online television programme dedicated to tourism, Mr Konsolas said that his ministry was working to “repackage” tourism to Greece under the new conditions.

According to Tornosnews.gr the deputy minister said that announcements would soon be made and said that a safety that would be put in place to cover all tourism activity which would include reduced tax rates.
Mr Konsolas said on the programme that theme tourism could be one way forward and the establishing of Greece as an international centre for tourism education and training.
