Victoria recorded just 94 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
The figure dropped to less than 100 new cases for the first time in almost two months.
Premier Daniel Andrews revealed the new cases, but added that another 18 people died as a result of coronavirus overnight, with 16 out of 18 of these linked to the aged care sector.

The state’s tally of deaths is now 513 people, with around 20 per cent of these belonging to the Greek community of Melbourne which has been struck hard by COVID-19 as a result of outbreaks in aged care facilities.
Mr Andrews said there were currently 481 Victorians in hospital, 26 of whom were receiving treatment in intensive care and 17 who required ventilation.
