Greece’s tennis young gun Stefanos Tsitsipas overwhelmed Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas on Monday to reach the second round of the US open in New York.
The Greek fourth seed tennis star won the game 6-2 6-1 6-1 to continue his quest for a maiden Grand Slam title in the COVID-19 era.
Throughout the game, the 22-year-old Greek never faced a break point and broke his opponent seven times during the 98-minute match.
This success is meaningful to Tsitsipas as he has never been beyond the second round of the US Open.
Tipped by many to make a deep run in the tournament, he came into the week with 16 wins.
