Queenslanders took to the ballot boxes yesterday Saturday, 31 October to cast their vote.
This year’s election, is historical, with Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk winning a third term in office; she is the first Australian leader to accomplish that.
Labor was rewarded by voters for their strict handling of the coronavirus pandemic.
Meanwhile, another Labor lady pushing health and multiculturalism on her agenda is member for Jordan Charis Mullen (nee Naoumis). The Greek Australian MP re-won her seat on the outskirts of Brisbane city with increased support this year.

Ms Mullen is only the second person of Greek heritage elected to the Queensland parliament.
“I am proud of Queensland Labor’s achievements when it comes to multiculturalism and inclusivity. I know that Labor has been a dear friend to Greek communities when many weren’t,” she told Neos Kosmos in a previous interview.
Meanwhile, Ms Mullen was a strong voice stressing the importance of staying Covid-safe and ensuring her state’s and Australia’s economic recovery through solid policies.
“COVID-19 has meant that a lot of us have been isolated from our families and friends, which is why it’s more important than ever to make sure we stay on the road to recovery, and continue to press ahead with our economic recovery plan”.
