After months in lockdown, the Hellenic Museum in Melbourne will be re-opening its doors as of Monday 16 November.
The Museum will return to its regular opening hours of Monday-Sunday, from 10am to 4pm daily offering a wide range of upcoming workshops and events.
Ancient Forms, a clay hand-building clay workshop, and #Hellenic in the Hood: Beans and Democracy, an online family hangout, in November.
In collaboration with Flowers Vasette, the Hellenic Museum will launch a wreath-making workshop in December.
On that note, hosting a conversation with Onassis Foundation Director of Culture Afroditi Panagiotakou and Athens Biennale Co-Founder & Artistic Director Poka-Yio exploring the creative wave in Athens.
In the meantime, the Museum has implemented physical distancing, hygiene, cleaning and public health measures in line with the latest Victorian Government regulations to ensure that the safety of visitors and staff remain a high priority.
These measures include:
- All visitors must wear a face mask while on the premises
- All gallery and exhibition spaces will be open with restricted visitor numbers, and regular cleaning measures in place
- In line with Victorian Government guidelines, we will collect the first name and phone number of each visitor for the sole purpose of contact tracing in the event of any possible COVID-19 cases
- If you are feeling unwell, we kindly ask that you rest at home and visit us when you are well.
