Returning for an exciting fourth season and inspired by the premium offerings of Mykonos, Nice, Capri and other exotic European destinations, The Moseley Beach Club, the first ever European-style beach club is back again on the foreshore of Glenelg Beach.

Spreading out across 750sqm of beach space just north of the Glenelg Pier and operating daily with a capacity of 350 people, Australia’s first licensed beach front getaway is finally open, offering a relaxed yet fun coastal hang out with a casual dining area that includes deckchairs, beanbags and picnic tables, a menu full of delicious food and cocktails, and a calendar full of premium events, live music and entertainment.

Pushing new boundaries, the new beach-side offering, which has also created 30 jobs in the area, together with its six local owners, who also own The Moseley Bar & Kitchen (Hotel of the Year, 2016 AHA SA Hotel awards) is now being viewed as a potential blueprint for similar operations around Australia.

“We’re proud more than 30,000 people visited the Beach Club last season, while this summer we hope to see more than 50,000 beach club goers. Our aim is to provide the highest level of service and hospitality on the sand while diligently following all the Covid-19 restrictions,” says the RD Jones Group’s Director of Operations, Luke Donaldson.

Following the new COVID-19 restrictions, the venue’s footprint allows a capacity of 350 people.

“The security and safety of our customers is always our highest priority, which means experienced management, stringent staff training, highly skilled security, police and licensing, will together work diligently to bring a safe and family friendly experience to Glenelg. Our staff are being careful to continually wipe down furniture and maintain high hygiene standards. We have stickers on the floor directing customers to maintain distance when lining up at the bar.”

The Moseley Beach Club has already welcomed thousands of visitors and operates as a pole of attraction for international tourists and interstate visitors, while it also appears that the cosmopolitan venue has already contributed to boosting the local economy by increasing both the overall traffic in the area and businesses performance.

“The innovation and progressiveness shown by the City of Holdfast Bay Council supporting the return of The Beach Club is greatly appreciated. Our commitment to the community is of great importance, as we aim to work with as many local traders, suppliers and producers as possible in order to showcase the best of SA, alongside our pledge to work diligently ensuring we preserve the environment.

“We look forward to bringing the world’s attention to Glenelg, and our great beaches in South Australia. See you at the beach,” concludes Mr. Donaldson.
