A conference aimed at attracting and facilitating foreign investment in Greece is set to be held in Athens on 21 October, this year.

The inaugural The Greeks Are Back Conference will be host 50 Greek senior executives from abroad who will offer their knowledge and experience in how to attract investment to Greece. The founder of The Greeks Are Back initiative, Anreas Yannopoulos, who is the CEO of Public Affairs and Networks, said that the executives represented 40 international companies working in 12 major nations.

The conference will consist of plenary discussion in six working groups that will discuss how to make Greece more attractive for investors in specific areas including: green investments; tax frameworks; attracting talent to the country, innovation and research and development, digital information; and the silver economy.

“When we announced the initiative The Greeks Are Back, last September, we were rather confident about the success of our endeavour. However, we could not have imagined how warm and enthusiastic the response of so many highly accomplished Greek executives in really key positions of large international companies abroad would be,” said Mr Yannopoulos.
