There will be 30 people at Prince Philip’s funeral at St George’s Chapel on Sunday morning due to the COVID-19 pandemic, hence a ‘no-fuss’ funeral which would otherwise been attended by 800 people will be limited.

Funeral officials and pallbearers aren’t included in the limit, however Prince Philip’s closest family are first on the list. These royal members include Queen Elizabeth and Philip’s children and their spouses (Prince Charles and Camilla, Princess Anne and her husband Timothy Laurence, Prince Edward and his wife Sophie as well as Prince Andrew).

Philip’s grandchildren and their spouses have been invited, including Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Duke of Sussex Prince Harry. Meghan Duchess of Sussex will not be in attendance due to Meghan’s pregnancy and medical advice that she should not travel.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson will not be in attendance.

Former Constantine II of Greece – Philip’s first cousin once removed – would have been on the list however his own health issues mean he can’t travel.
