Business events industry stalwart Michelle Papas (Paps) passed away on the weekend following an unexpected coronary episode.
Ms Papas was known for her energy and drive within the business events sector, more recently as Event Director of Luxperience, a luxury travel showcase which she had been involved in for over eight years. She also represented a broad range of clients via her own company, The Experience Quotient.
A formidable events director, she had also worked for the South Australian Tourism Commission, Shangri-La and Sheraton on the Park. Her wide range of skills covered tourism commissions, hotels, technology and trade events.
Her sudden death highlights the importance of hearth health, just one day before this year’s Heart Week events kicked off.
Taken by a silent killer of so many women, doctors were unable to help her.
At the time of her death, she lived in Sydney with her husband Kirk Fitis. The couple had married in Greece in 2018.
