Victoria recorded 71 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, with just 44 linked to known outbreaks and 22 under investigation.
The results came after 46,000 tests on Sunday, and health officials are bracing themselves for more cases.

The spike came after 65 new cases were recorded yesterday. Of these, only 12 had been in isolation during their infectious period, and there were ten more mystery cases.

“We’re still in the realm of hauling this back,” Health Minister Martin Foley said.
There were 22,191 doses of vaccine administered at state-run sites.
