New York-born Greek Rap Star ‘MadClip’ (born Panagiotis ‘Peter’ Anastasopoulos) has died after a car accident in Vouliagmeni, Attica, aged 34.
In a post on social media, the Greek Fire Brigade confirmed that “an unconscious person had been removed from a vehicle following a rescue order”.
There were 12 firefighters involved in the rescue operation which eyewitness accounts state took hours before the rap star was removed from the wreckage of his Porsche.
He was rushed to Asklipio hospital where he was pronounced dead after staff there tried to save his life.
Earlier this year, in February, the rap star had been arrested following a dangerous police chase through Athens after he failed to stop for a police check, running through four red lights.
