Victoria has confirmed 1,510 new cases of COVID-19 and four deaths, however, while the numbers are lower than previous days, there was also a dip in testing with 55,679 results received on Monday.
There are 817 Victorians in hospital, and 147 are in intensive care with 88 on a ventilator.
Three quarters of eligible Victorians have received two doses of the vaccination.

It was revealed that a new bill to be tabled in Parliament today could mean an end to the power of the state’s chief health officer, who currently has the final say on pandemic restrictions. According to the new bill, pandemic-specific laws will apply, replacing the state-of-emergency powers when these expire on 15 December. New laws will include stronger safeguards to withhold QR-code check-in data from law enforcement and a tiered fines system to lessen the burden on disadvantaged people.
