An elderly Sydney man in his 80s died with COVID-19 at the Greek Orthodox Community Home for the Aged in Earlwood, a traditionally migrant stronghold in southwest Sydney, 10km from the CBD.

The man, who died on Thursday, was one of the four deaths included in the death toll released by NSW Health.

The man left the aged care home, managed by the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW, and was taken to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where he passed away.

The man had received both doses of the vaccination but had underlying health conditions, reported WA Today.
