The Australian government will allow more than 200,000 visa holders to enter the country as part of its national reopening plan.

As part of the Coalition’s focus on skilled migration border restrictions will ease for students, economic migrants and refugees.

On Sunday, the nation reached a new vaccination milestone by surpassing its 85 per cent double dose target.

This new milestone means that international border restrictions can be eased further as the country edges towards the resumption of international travel.

Travel will look different than it used to, and more complicated than merely checking if you had your passport, ticket and wallet. Passengers will henceforth need more forms to complete, apps to install, certificates and health checks.

Travel insurance is more complicated to get and travellers will need to do a lot of investigating  with regard to navigating the rules and regulations around COVID-19 that each country applies as arrival protocols differ according to each country.

In Greece, Passenger Locator Forms need to be filled in and submitted 72 hours before arrival and proof of a PCR is also needed before passengers board the plane, whereas Cyprus requires a Cyprus Safe Pass to be completed before arrival.
