Dimitra Liani, the widow of late statesman Andreas Papandreou, attacked the successors of her late husband’s legacy.
In a Facebook post on St Andrew’s feast day on 30 November, she wrote a letter to Andreas Papandreou, criticising both Kostas Simitis and Vangelis Venizelos for building up a “political formation that is still using your name, but essentially fighting your political legacy”.
She directed harsh accusations against Andreas Papandreou’s children who, “through the Andreas Papandreou Foundation saw tens of millions of euros wasted in government grants for your welfare” and “withdraw your texts, positions, speeches and even your photos.

She was critical of the decision of George Papandreou to seek the leadership of the KINAL party, reminding people of all the mistakes he made when serving as prime minister, and calling him a “huge national danger”.
