The Greek Ethnic School of St Anna Gold Coast held its Christmas break up concert and presentations at the Hellenic Function Centre on Sunday, 5 December which was attended by the parish priest Fr Romanos Stergiou, students, parents and parishioners.
The president of the Greek Community of St Anna, James Nides welcomed guests and thanked the school principal, Vicky Giannopoulou, and teachers Jonathan Zervis and Maria Stavrinos for the commitment to teaching Greek during the year.
Christmas-themed plays were performed by the students interspersed with Greek Christmas songs.

Each student received an Archdiocese and Encouragement Certificated and medals were handed out by the school’s coordinator Anthi Nides to the best students for each year level
James and Anthy Nides made presentations to Year 12 students Jennifer Sakley and Omar Giannopoulos as well as to those who helped with school activities throughout the year.

The winners of medals for the best student at each year level were: Prep – Michael Paraskevas Caruso, Year 1: Sapphira Tusa; Year 2: Helena Savvas; Year 3: Zenon Savvas; Year 4: Loukas Genovezos; Year 5: Hope Veli; Year 6: Hans Drakos; Year 7: Lia Papadopoulos; Year 8: Georgiana Georghiou; Year 9: Chryssa Dakin; and Year 12: Omar Galanopoulos.
