According to Greek health services, more than 40,000 children aged from 5 to 11 have been scheduled to receive their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
More than 6,000 have already been vaccinated, confirmed secretary-general for primary health care Marios Themistokleous.
Meanwhile, over 500,000 booster appointments have been made in the last 10 days AMNA reports.
Overall, 6.9 million people in Greece have been inoculated, a 65.7 per cent of the general population; a bit lower than the corresponding EU average which sits at 67.2 per cent.
