Greek-Australian tennis star, Thanasi Kokkinakis, has won his maiden ATP title after defeating Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech in the final of the Adelaide International.
Following his win Kokkinakis’ career resurgence has soared to fresh heights.
The world No. 145 stunned world No. 58 Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech in a fiercely tight contest, eventually running out 6-7 (6) 7-6 (5) 6-3 winner.
“I wouldn’t want to win my first title anywhere else,” he told the crowd.
Ahead of next week’s Australian Open, Kokkinakis had to work hard for the title, with both men brilliant on serve.
