One of the most active members of the Greek Community, Pontian Peter Jasonides is fighting the big fight with coronavirus.
The news was shared by Jasonides himself, who wanted to send his own message for awareness and garner all the positive messges and prayers he can get.
“COVID-19 – Peter Jasonides: 1-0. Hopefully I’ll win in the end…. Well that’s the plan,” he wrote on social media from a hospital bed at Box Hill Hospital.
Hundreds of his friends, both personal and online contacts bombarded his feed with positive messages and comments wishing him a speedy recovery.
“I am intubated at the Intensive Care Unit in Box Hill Hospital. Thank you all for your warm wishes and I am positive and hopeful that I will make it,” he told Neos Kosmos.
Outside of his contributions to the Greek Community through his work with the Pontian Associations, Jasonides is the founder and manager of ITHEA: Institute of Tertiary and Higher Education Australia.
More to come.
