Sport’s Rich 100 List’ which is published by The Daily Telegraph is out and four Greek Australian athletes are named amongst Australia’s wealthiest sportsmen.
The order has been based on the prize money they received following their outstanding performances in the past 12 months.
The wealthiest of the top performing athletes of Hellenic heritage named is the new unified lightweight champion of the world, George Kambosos Jr.

The Sydney gun, earned a career-high $2.4 million fighting Teofimo Lopez on December 4 2021 and now owns all four title belts. Since his outstanding win, several brands have approached him for sponsorships.
When Kambosos Jr first started boxing, he was training in a small neighbourhood gym with his father and worked really hard, without support to improve his performance and become known.

Last week Nick Kyrgios won the Australian Open doubles together with his good mate, Thanasi Kokkinakis. Kyrgios who did not compete as much in 2021 made a serious comeback, earning over $550,000 in prize money alone. The once bad boy of Australian tennis who has returned from his hiatus a changed man, has gained several prominent affiliations with major Australian and International sports brands.

A top-order batsman and medium-pace bowler, Marcus Stoinis debuted for his home state of Western Australia at the age of 19, but won limited opportunities with the Warriors and moved to Victoria to further his career. Stoinis has banked more than $2 million thanks to a newly closed deal with IPL franchise Lucknow. He is also with Melbourne Stars.

Melbourne-born Adam Gotsis became the highest-drafted Australian-born player in NFL history when he was selected by the Denver Broncos in the second round of the 2016 Draft. He grew up playing Australian rules football and supported the North Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League.
As a defensive linesman who played a strong part in Jacksonville’s campaign this season his net worth skyrocketed to $15 million.

Stefanos Tsitsipas is currently ranked no.4 in the world and finished runner-up at the French Open 2021. He may not have cut into the Top 100 this year having made only $225,000 out of the Australian Open, but he is closing in. Taking into consideration his salary, tennis record, endorsements and sponsorships his net worth is climbing to $12 million.
