The body of a man burnt to death was found in a truck on the Euroferry Olympia late on Sunday.
The body of a Greek driver was located in a burnt-out lorry aboard the ship. Ten people three of whom Greek nationals – all thought to be lorry drivers – are still unaccounted for.
Earlier in the day, a 21-year-old Belarussian, one of the 12 missing passengers of the Euroferry Olympia, was located alive on the stern of the ship and was rescued and transferred to Corfu with a coast guard boat. The Belarusian truck driver, used a ladder to climb down from the ferry on to a tugboat.
His first words were: “Tell me I’m alive”. He was then transported to the General hospital of the island.
The rescued man, who appeared to be in good health, told rescuers he had heard other voices below deck, BBC reported.
