If you want to find out more about obtaining Greek citizenship, author Danae Andrea Konidaris will be providing an online presentation from Mentone Public Library on Saturday, 12 March.
Ms Konidaris, who is the author of The Writer’s Runway, has written an e-book entitled Guide to Your Greek Citizenship by Descent that is a reader-friendly guide based on experience. She will conduct the special Mentone Public Library online presentation at 11 am on Saturday.
“By becoming a Greek EU citizen, you connect even deeper with your heritage and redefine your future as a global EU citizen,” said Ms Konidaris. “European Union (EU) citizenship opportunities include visa-free travel through Europe, reduced length-of-stay restrictions and the chance to retire in sunny Greece.”
Her talk is based on her family’s experiences after her two sons said they wanted to become dual citizens. She will talk about the documents that are needed in the process and additional information and support that is available in her e-book.
The e-book also supplies information for males aged 19 to 45 years who are eligible for military service in Greece with guidelines on how to defer the process.
Mayor of Kingston City, Cr Steve Staikos, will attend as a special guest of the event which will be a lead in for Harmony Week and Kingston City’s Cultural Diversity Week.
