After two long years of event cancellations, the Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HACCI) is determined for the cohorts of businesses and entrepreneurs that have been left behind.
Alongside the launch of the 2022 Young Professionals Network Mentoring Program, HACCI’s next event aspires to bring the next generation into the spotlight.
On Thursday 14 April HACCI will hold ‘Meet ‘n’ Greek’ in collaboration with the high energy crew of the Greek Youth Generator, at The Botanical Hotel, in South Yarra.
The idea behind ‘Meet ‘n’ Greek’ is to bring together junior and senior professionals of Hellenic background across different industries. Leaders, pioneers and visionaries will offer life lessons, share personal stories that will inspire and motivate younger visionaries.
“Work life in 2022 looks different to what it used to be and may never be the same,” Fotini Kypraios, HACCI’s Board Chair said explaining that over the past two years, professionals had to learn how to work both effectively and in a flexible way, putting remote working in the forefront.
“As professionals and business owners from a multicultural background, we know that diversity is an asset and enables us to be agile and adaptable.
“And, of course, in true Greek Youth Generator fashion, our young co-hosts promise to ‘stack on the entertainment to kick start your networking in style’,” she added as the city comes back to life.
With that in mind, HACCI promotes networking as a way to help new professionals find their place in the market and connect with the business and wider community.
The inaugural ‘Meet ‘n’ Greek’ will be a prelude to the launch of the 2022 HACCI Young Professionals Mentoring Program, an evolved version of the successful initiative that begun in 2015 giving young professionals the opportunity receive guidance and to gain insights from the knowledge and experience of mentors who have been successful in their careers.
The HACCI Mentoring Program runs for six months between February and September of each calendar year and is open to all HACCI Young Professional Network (HYPN) members.
A HYPN annual membership is $80.00 and also provides access to other HACCI events at a special HYPN rate during the year. The application form for HYPN membership can be found here.
