The Greek Australian Cultural League (GACL) of Melbourne is showcasing the new Greek-Australian Artists Directory (GAAD) which highlights Greek-Australian art practice throughout Australia and is calling out to artists who have registered in the directory to submit their expression of interest to take part in the Antipodean Palette 2022, the annual exhibition.
Artists who are yet to sign on to the GAAD and who want to participate in this year’s exhibition can still do so.
The GACL said that as with 2021, the Antipodean Palette will be exhibited on the streets of Melbourne but this year will be focused in the heart of Brunswick, Melbourne.
“Eight works will be selected and printed on large posters. They will be in portrait form and walking distance to one another. A map will show the locations where the posters will be on display,” said the GACL in a media release.
“There is no theme to the 2022 Antipodean Palette however artwork must have been completed within the last 12 months, and the artist must be registered with the GAAD.”
The exhibition is to run from 30 May to 12 June.
