Sydney Greek Festival has announced the cancellation of two upcoming events in the program both due to an increase in COVID-19 daily cases and heavy rainfall.

“It seems that COVID-19 and other factors beyond the festival’s control continue to impact events in the program, said Nia Karteris, Festival Chair.

“However,” Ms Karteris added, “we continue to work through and overcome these challenges. We do have plenty of other great events coming up and encourage everyone to check the program for details.”

The two events cancelled are:
– The lecture on ‘Leonard Cohen on Hydra’ presented by Professor Vrasidas Karalis which was scheduled for Wednesday 30 March at the Fusebox Theatre, and
– The Tastes of Alexander degustation at Perama by chef David Tsirekas which was scheduled to take place on 12 April.

These events will not be re-scheduled in this year’s program.
