Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was the guest of Britain’s Prince Charles at the 18th century Dumfries estate in Scotland where they discussed the best ways to revive the former Greek royal estate in Tatoi to the north of Athens.
Prince Charles had expressed interest in Tatoi when he visited Greece in March, last year, to take part in the 200 year celebrations of Greek independence, reported the Athenian Macedonian News Agency.
“It was a great privilege to join HRH at Dumfries House today and deepen the cultural ties between our two countries. An inspiring visit where I saw first hand how the Prince’s foundation puts sustainability, education and training into action to transform lives,” said Mr Mitsotakis on social media of the visit the Dumfries estate on Tuesday.

The state is managed by the Prince’s Foundation an educational charity set up by Prince Charles in 1986. The organisation took on the renovation of the building and the estate to preserve the cultural heritage of the Ayrshire region.
Dumfries House, which is open to the public, holds cultural, educational and environmental events throughout the year.
