Olympiakos has retained its Greek soccer crown winning yet another Super League title on Wednesday – and did it in style, too, with victory at archrival PAOK.

The Reds avenged their Greek Cup elimination last week with a 2-1 win at Toumba, in a game where a draw would have sufficed for them to clinch the trophy mathematically.

Anxious AEK prepares to fight prospering Panathinaikos in must-win Athens derby

Meanwhile all the pressure is on AEK as they come up against the Greek Super League’s most in-form side, Panathinaikos, in a huge derby clash which could decide the fate of their European ambitions.

Enosi hosts the Greens on Monday morning in the premier fixture of the play-offs’ seventh round and they desperately need maximum points if they wish to improve their prospects in finishing third.

The “Trifylli” will see this as a major opportunity to create distance between themselves and their rivals, with a win taking them to five points clear of AEK.

The other team in the hunt for third, Aris, hosts Olympiacos and the Thessaloniki outfit will be hoping to catch their opponents distracted after their 1-2 away victory against PAOK on Thursday morning saw them officially win their 47th league trophy.

The Double-headed eagle of the North travels to face Giannina, expecting nothing less than three points after their midweek loss extended their run without an outright win to eight matches in all competitions.

Apollon Smyrnis takes on their relegation rivals, Lamia, on Sunday morning in the sixth round of the play-outs and the Light Brigade needs to bag a victory to have any chance of surviving a straight relegation.

Atromitos hosts an in-form Ionikos side which has collected 13 points from their five play-out matches, positioning themselves very well to finish top of the relegation group.

The other two sides fighting for first among the bottom half teams, OFI and Asteras Tripolis, also meet in Crete for what looms as a well-balanced tough affair.

Panetolikos hosts Volos with both sides battling for their own pride as they aim to finish higher than the other.
