The Aristotle Medical Forum (AMF) returns this year with its aim to become a leading scientific and medical event in Greece for the formulation of public health policy. The AMF represents a common meeting ground of medical science and innovation with technology, society and industry as part of the Hellenic Diaspora Medical Forum (HDMF) from Europe and the US.

Faculty members of the HDMF as well as students and faculty members of the Aristotle University School of Medicine in collaboration with the Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce and the Panhellenic Pharmaceutical Association, came together to create the Aristotle Medical Forum, which first took place in September 2021 at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

AMF is an annual event, increasing the visibility of the metropolis of northern Greece, promoting the active development of an academically open-minded medical school of the future. In 2022 the AMF will be joined by the first ever Global Diaspora Medical Forum to be held simultaneously, under the auspices of the General Secretariat for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Top researchers and leading academicians are invited from all around the world together with institutional representatives of the state, policy makers and leaders of national and international pharmaceutical and medical device industries.

The AMF represents a common meeting ground of medical science and innovation with technology, society and industry and it is aimed towards the captains of academia and industry, but with an open platform towards the broader society with the goal of highlighting innovative achievements of medicine and biomedical technology. Hot topics of our times such as the COVID-19 pandemic, including its present and future management from several different perspectives (medical, educational, societal) will be addressed at this year’s event.
