The Rhodian and Koan brotherhoods came together last week to celebrate Mother’s Day at the Pankoaki brotherhood.

The brotherhoods honoured the generations of mothers and nurturers in the community, both in life and deceased acknowledging the contribution of the women that are no longer with us.

Mrs Kyriaki Sakellaris recited a poem she rote which moved everyone in attendance bringing tears to their eyes.

All mums were presented with a gift after they danced a traditional Sousta.

The dance was followed by a delicious lunch of roast lamb and roast chicken, and variety of sweets, lovingly prepared by all the mums.
