The official launch of Little Greece, in Marrickville on Saturday 18 from 1pm will present Greek music and dancing by MC Alex Lykos, Tassos Bouzouki and St Nicholas Church Greek Dancing Group.
The party will take place at Alex Trevallion Plaza, Marrickville. With the support of the #InnerWestCouncil this initiative aims to boost art and cultural activity in Sydney’s streets and public places after the two years of pandemic.
There will also be a celebration of Hestia’s Migration, the public mural commissioned to mark the heart of Little Greece, a procession to The Great Club and a free all-ages concert featuring Hellenic Art Theatre and Iho Nyx Band.
Registration at the Alex Trevallion Plaza is essential for entry to The Great Club from 1pm till 1.30pm.
U18s are allowed in provided they are accompanied by a responsible adult.
