Along with a rise in flu and COVID-19 cases, confirmed monkeypox cases in Greece rose to 48 according to the National Public Health Organization (EODY).
All are males with a median age of 36 (19-59).
Sixteen had travelled outside Greece within the incubation period, according to the epidemiological surveillance report released last Thursday.
These laboratory-confirmed cases have recovered or are recovering and in good condition, Kathimerini reported.
The epidemiological data come from reports by treating physicians sent to EODY, and from daily communication with laboratories involved in the diagnosis of monkeypox infections.
